Hailey's Helping Hands

Hailey's Helping Hands derived from the passion of an 8 year old heart wanting to serve homeless women and children.

Hailey sat with her mother, one cold November night and watched homeless people, on the local news station walk without socks and shoes. She asked her mother, DeMonica Amerson, what could she do to help. With several hours of dialogue and thought provoking questions to search her heart, Hailey told her mother she didn't know how to help but she knew God wanted her to do something.

The next day, Hailey went to school and collected over 25 signatures from her friends and teachers of those who indicated they wanted to be apart of her new group, Hailey's Helping Hands.

In December of 2019, Hailey's Helping Hands launched and was featured on KTRK Channel 13 News, for collecting over 1000 pair of donated socks. Her socks were then donated to the Mission of Yahweh woman and children's shelter in Houston, TX.

The organization continues to serve homeless women and children from the Mission of Yahweh, local shelters in the Houston area and will continue to extend their reach of support to better the lives of the less fortunate.
